Race and Fun for All
Welcome to the eCKD Race and Fun for All series!
Get ready for 11 weeks of high-intensity racing and community fun! We are hosting 22 stages on TrainingPeaks Virtual, taking place every Tuesday and Thursday at 20:00 CET from October 6th to December 17th.
π Individual Glory: The Road to the GC
We want the overall classification to be competitive for everyone, whether you can make every race or just a few.
- Counting Stages: Your individual ranking is based on 50% of the stages completed at any given time (reaching a maximum of 11 counting stages by the end of the series).
- Best Results Matter: If you complete more than the maximum number of counting races, only your best results will be used for your ranking.
- Building Your Score: If you have completed fewer than 50% of the stages, all your results will count toward your individual GC standing.
π€ Team Spirit: Every Race Counts!
Bring your teammates! While the individual ranking allows for some missed races, the team competition rewards consistency.
- Total Accumulation: All 22 races count toward the final team standings.
- Team Composition:
- Teams may consist of a maximum of 10 riders throughout the series.
- If a rider leaves, their spot may be filled by another rider.
- A rider who leaves a team cannot return to that team, but may join another team during the series.
- Scoring: Only the top 5 finishers from each team in each race score team points.
π Rules & Requirements
To ensure fair and fun racing for everyone, the following rules apply:
- Tier 1 Requirements: Participants must use a smart trainer, heart rate monitor, and cadence sensor.
- Accurate Data: Your TrainingPeaks weight must be accurate and up to date at all times.
- Performance Verification: Live performance verification is enabled. Riders may be removed or disqualified during the race if data appears faulty, unrealistic, or exploits trainer quirks. Read more about performance verification
- Neutral Zone: Each race starts with a neutral zone of 1200-2200 meters (depending on the route). A pacer will lead the group, rolling from 2.0 W/kg up to 4.2 W/kg.
π Scoring System
Individual Points.
Points are awarded to finishers to reward both high placement and participation:
- 1st Place: 300 points.
- Following Places: 280, 265, 253, 243, 235, etc. (see table for details).
Team Scoring. The team competition rewards both speed and consistency across all 22 races.
- Stage Ranking: Each team's score for a race is the sum of its top 5 finishers' individual points.
- Series Points: Based on that stage rank, teams earn points toward the overall standings: 1st: 100 pts | 2nd: 97 pts | 3rd: 95 pts | 4th: 93 pts | 5th: 92 pts (then -1 per rank).
- Total Count: Unlike the individual GC, every single race counts toward the final team leaderboard.
Clip in, race smart, and bring your best. Letβs race hard and have fun! π΄ββοΈπ₯
